Col Byrne 2009

Col Byrne served on the MSC Committee from 1996 until 2004.  He is a High School sports teacher who moved from New South Wales to Myrtleford.  Col remains a true champion of the MSC cause and promoting snow sports in the Myrtleford community. He was acknowledged for this and also for the bus day trips from Myrtleford to Falls Creek which he organised to improve accessibility of the sport. Col was instrumental in the formation of the MSC Walpole XC competition.  Participants raced two laps around the Nordic bowl and the prize was awarded, not to the fastest skiier, but to the competitor who skied their second lap closest to the time of their first lap.
