Glenn van der Knijff 2019

Glenn has been a member of the Club since 1983, when he joined as a junior. In 1989 he changed to Single membership and then to Family membership in 2004. Glenn served on the Club Committee for 9 years from 1997 until the end of the 2005 season. During this time, he served as Secretary of the Club and it is in this capacity that he achieved some great things for the Club. Many still talk about the wonderful newsletters Glenn wrote.

In the late 1980s and early 1990s various Club secretaries had commenced the move into the technological era, however it was Glenn’s work that moved this along at a very rapid pace. Glenn, upgraded the newsletter format in his first year and this format remained in place from then until it was moved into its current online format in 2015.
Even though Glenn left the Committee in 2005 he continued producing the newsletter until 2009.
