Gloria was nominated for her contribution to the Club during the 1980s and 1990s, as both a committee person and also for being elected the first female President of the Club. The committee cited her great work in leading the first major improvements to the upstairs showers and particularly the renovation of the lodge kitchen. That the kitchen remains virtually unchanged to this day is testament to the leadership Gloria provided as well as the good planning and construction overseen by the committee during that time.
