Gordon was made a Llfe member in 1957 for services rendered to the club. He was one of the first members of the ski club and is known as the ‘father of the club’ because it was under his Presidency that the lodge building began. Gordon served as President from 1945 – 1950 and Vice President in 1938, 39, 51, 52, 53.
Gordon was a mechanical genius and his tow was the first on the mountain. It ran parallel to the Nissan Tow up to the race line, roughly following the line of the current Summit Chair.
