MSC Races 2023

RACE REPORT FROM ALISTAIR:
The MSC races for 2023. The sun was shining, and the snow was surprisingly good, we headed back to Nastar, as unfortunately the snow cover on Father Fosters was not adequate. We had 37 racers, and again we were fortunate to have our bubbly, entertaining member Di Gavin, announce the racers.

We again competed against Albury for the Founders Cup. Everyone competed well and in great spirit and the comradery back at the MSC lodge in the evening was fantastic, as we traded stories and shared some bubbles. Unfortunately, this year they took home the cup, I hope they don’t get too used to it in their trophy cabinet!

All Hail the King, was the theme of the MSC race club night. We had the King of the mountain, King of Spin, a Lion King, Ocean King, a couple of King Footballers and of course Elvis!
Nell organised a great day and we enjoyed an amazing lasagne dinner from Remel. We danced, laughed and enjoyed a great night.

Back to the races, King Scotti Sanderson prevailed as Club Champion, though his Prince Louis is closing in, as he again was crowned the Junior Champion. Brett, won the hotly contested veteran category and Darcy Ives, collected the novice cup.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, if you’re a member who hasn’t been to a race day before, or if it’s been a while, please consider joining in next year.
