WINTER SEASON RESILIENCE

While other resorts have sadly already called the season to an end early, the team at Falls Creek are doing an incredible job in keeping the resort open. It's been a challenging season and we hope the skiing continues for as long as possible. Given that this is a day-by-day status, please follow Falls Creek socials for up-to-date information on this.

Even if the lifts cease to operate, the Lodge will remain open for members and guests.

RACE WEEKEND UPDATE

RACE CANCELLED, FUN STILL TO BE HAD

The Committee would like to confirm that unfortunately Falls Creek Ski Lifts have advised that there will NOT be any official MSC ski races held in 2024 due to the poor ski conditions. As per some previous years when the races have been cancelled, the Committee will still host a fun weekend (dinner and other activities) for anyone who is keen to attend.

If you are booked in for the MSC race weekend, please contact the managers to either cancel your booking (for a refund) or to confirm your intention to attend. For anyone not booked in who is keen to come up and join in the fun, please contact the Managers for availability.

AGM CHANGE OF DATE

IMPORTANT!
Please note that the Annual General Meeting for the Myrtleford Ski Club which was due to be held on Fri 25th October 2024 has been rescheduled.

The AGM will now be held:

We hope to see many of you in attendance. The Committee invites attendees to arrive at 7pm to enjoy a bowl of pasta, courtesy of the Club. RSVP will be required for dinner (a few no shows last year had to be paid for). Further details will be shared in October.

HOW TO ORDER YOUR MERCH

1. Download ORDER FORM here.

2. Completed form should be emailed to merchmyrtski@gmail.com.

3. Please ensure all details and sizing selections are correct before ordering as exchanges cannot be made.

4. Pay amount in full before ordering. Reference is MERCH & your surname Eg "MERCH Browne".

5. The deadline for this order is Sunday 29th September 2024. Orders will take 2-4 weeks from then.

6. You will receive notification via email when your order is ready for collection from Ovens Valley Hub - 5023 Great Alpine Road, Ovens. Please do not contact them directly to chase orders or make any queries.

MSC SUPERSTARS!

Congratulations to some of our junior MSC members who have achieved outstanding success on the slopes of late. You are all incredible... well done!

Louis Sanderson - recently named U14 Australian Slalom Champion off the back of 3 x 2nd place and a 1st.

Competing in Perisher this week at the Australian Interschool Championships we congratulate the following legends.

Beau Sanderson - after finishing 2nd in the Team Moguls at the Victorian Interschools to qualify for Nationals in Moguls and Giant Slalom.

Jack Milne - qualified for the Nationals in Ski Cross and Alpine.

Llewela Browne - also competing at Nationals in Giant Slalom
